The great Italian Baroque artist Caravaggio murdered three people over the course of his life.

The most harrowing of these homicides occurred during a tennis  match, when Caravaggio provoked a heated dispute with his opponent, "a likable young man" named Ranuccio Tomassoni, then proceeded to beat him to death right there on the court.
